Beer

Our aim at the Meantime Brewing Company is to bring the wonderful world of beer to your palate. We brew a wider range of beers than any other brewery in the UK, but even we can't create all the beer styles the world has to offer. And we certainly couldn't stock them all! There are also many classic examples of the world's great styles that we could not hope to better. We have therefore put together this list of 50+ beers from some of the world's top breweries to demonstrate as wide a choice of taste and flavour as possible.

The styles are listed in order of ascending strength and complexity. We're pretty sure you will have a lot of fun exploring this list and we hope you enjoy discovering these great flavours as much as we enjoyed selecting them.

Meantime Limited Edition

Our seasonal beers from the Meantime Brewing Company are American Style Brown Ale and Cranberry Stout.
American Brown Ale - This is a deep copper Brown Ale with roasted malt caramel-like fullness and a medium body. The beer is balanced with the firm clean bitterness of American Amarillo Hops, that whilst not strong in flavour or bitterness, are crucial to the overall complexity of this beer. Roast caramel malt and milk chocolate–like flavours are the hallmark of an American Style Brown ale. The beer is available in pint and half pint(£4.60/£2.30) at 5.6% ABV
Meantime Cranberry Stout -
An oatmeal stout with roast and caramel malt character balanced by the sweet acidity of cranberries. For full taste notes click here.
Meantime Cranberry Stout is available in pint and half pint(£4.50/£2.25) at 4.5% ABV.

Beers Brewed On Site

Brewed on-site at The Old Brewery, we currently have Saaz Gold and Prague Dark.

Saaz Gold
is a Czech Sklepni style beer, deep golden colour, fine natural carbonation, with Saaz hop aroma and slight bitterness balancing the bready maltiness produced by an authentic Czech-style decoction mash. The beer comes in at 5%ABV and is available in pint and half pint (£4.40/£2.20).

Prague Dark is inspired by the classic Tmave Lezak  found in some of Prague's traditional old beer halls, which always tastes best in the colder months. It is a deep mahagony colour with ruby highlights and a slightly off-white head. Long-matured and smooth, it gets bready flavours and body from the decoction mash, and some chocolate and dried fruit flavours from the authentic dark malts, and balancing bitterness from the classic Czech Saaz hops. At 6% ABV, it is a great winter beer (£4.90 pint/£2.45 half pint)
