The Old Brewery Restaurant
By night, the room with its dramatic copper beer tuns and waves of suspended bottles is transformed into a restaurant. In the magnificent surroundings of this Grade II listed building, the menu of modern British food embraces its historic setting with the occasional nod to Britain's rich naval history.
Michelin trained Head Chef Daniel Doherty has honed and developed his modern British cooking style throughout his career, creating food with deep flavour and a refined touch. With a firm devotion to high-quality produce, Daniel sources rare-breed meats from Cumbrian farms and visits Billingsgate Market each morning to personally select fresh fish for the day's menu.
Meantime's beer is integral to many of the starters, mains and even desserts. Its use is woven through the menu, in dishes such as stout-marinated oysters, beer cured salmon, and chocolate beer sorbet. Such dishes showcase what can be achieved through cooking with beer, drawing together Daniel's passion for innovative cooking and the Meantime Brewing Company's passion for exemplary beer.
